Pursuant to the Energy Act (Act 458/2000), Article 24, ČEPS is entitled to purchase, at the lowest cost possible, electricity to cover transmission losses in the transmission system and to meet its own needs. Predictions of the expected volume of
electricityrequired to cover
transmission losses are made for specific time periods – years, months and weeks and can be adjusted on a daily basis. Based on the prediction, and in order to minimise costs, ČEPS purchases
electricity to cover
transmission losses by means of tenders for individual
time periods and through the short-term electricity market operated by the OTE.
The ČEPS, a.s. Company announces the date of the Tender for a supplier of electricity to cover losses in the transmission system of the Czech Republic in the year 2018 and 2019, which will take place on 15rd November 2017.
Details concerning the upcomming tender are available here.
