Any public tender invitation issued by ČEPS is governed by the Act on Public Contracts (Act 137/2006, as amended) and related regulations. According to the Act, the Company holds the status of a public contracting entity; however, if the subject of a public tender relates to ČEPS’s core business activities, the Company follows those conditions applicable to a sector contracting entity. ČEPS is the sole holder of a licence granted by the Energy Regulatory Office for electricity transmission.
Specific rules governing public tenders issued by a sector contracting entity are set out in the Act. Such entities are required to adhere to the stipulations of the Act only in those cases where the value of the contract exceeds a set amount.
