ČEPS has received an EU subsidy

11/29/2011

ČEPS was granted a subsidy from the EU TEN-E (Trans-European Energy Network) programme to be used for the construction of power line V458 between the existing Krasíkov and Horní Životice substations.

The official position on subsidy granting was published in the European Commission Decision of 4 November 2011.

The 400kV power line, with a length of 79.3 km, will form the closing section of the northern power supply ring in Moravia. A necessary backup route for electricity transits will thus be created and the reliability of electricity supply in the area supplied from the 400/110kV Horní Životice transformer station and the new 400/110kV Kletné substation enhanced.

The amount of the subsidy received for power line V458 construction is EUR 3.28 million.

The TEN-E programme is designed to co-finance transmission system projects of common interest aimed at ensuring adequate safety and security of the operation of transmission systems within Europe.
