Crisis measures

Crisis measures are in place to respond to an emergency situation within the Czech transmission system during which power supply reliability and system integrity are under serious threat and which concern measures of a technical or organisational nature to be applied in order to quickly stabilise Czech power system operation and subsequently restore normal operation conditions. Crisis measures can be applied either automatically as soon as set limit values are reached or manually upon a dispatcher instruction being sent by the relevant control centre. All these measures are applied in compliance with Act 458/2000 (the Energy Act) and Regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Nos. 79/2010 and 80/2010 (in Czech).
